I know many with reasons to break out the bubbly, raise a glass, kiss, cheer, hug and to smile towards the future because we all know, the best is yet to come.

When I got married I remember someone telling me this; "May this be the day (wedding day) you know your husband the least". I usually don't think of myself as a ditz, but this phrase really confused me. At that moment I'm sure I furrowed my brow and I know thoughts of confusion quickly scattered my brain. Know my husband the least? He's the one whom I know the best. Wait, what?

Turns out I'm celebrating also. Tomorrow, August 26th, is our 4th anniversary. There is no one I would rather weather the storm of life with than Josh. He sees me at my best and, ahem, worst. He holds my hand leading me to the most precious moments in life and picks me up to carry me through the worst. He is my knight, my prince. I can successfully say that I do understand what the person was toasting me 4 years ago. On my wedding day I knew my husband the least, and today I know him the best.

Josh and I exchange gifts based on the list of traditional anniversary presents. We are not terribly traditional but I enjoy it because it becomes a fun game. I mean honestly, what would you get a guy for the 4th year... flowers and fruit?! I think I did a good job being creative... you'll have to tune in tomorrow to find out what I got him. He started out with this lovely bunch... ahem, two bunches... of roses. That's 100 roses folks. Pretty sure I did a double take. I told my darling husband he's screwed himself over because there will be nothing left to get me in a few years.

So, for all you who are going to go google the list of wedding anniversary gifts I'll provide it for you here. There are two lists, traditional and modern. I guess someone decided to "update" the list... personally, if Josh gets me a appliance for a gift I'll cry. Therefore, we go with the traditional list.

I'll try and post tomorrow after Josh opens his gift-- he has NO clue and I can't wait to see his face.

I love this! I am wouldn't be opposed to appliances... say a new washing machine and dryer! I would be pretty excited for that! Or a wine fridge that would be good too! :)
