Little Tristan was almost 10 weeks old when I met him... in newborn photography that means bright eyed and bushy tailed! Babies are already curious and aware of what's going on. One of the things people are always surprised about is the amount of time I take with newborns. One would think you can just show up and start shooting, but in reality it's quite different. If I was on my schedule I would do just that, arrive and start photographing. With newborns you have to remember you are on their time, not yours. I think that's one of the things I like so much about them, it's wait and then hurry up and shoot, wait rearrange them and hurry up and shoot. I love them partly because you never know what you are going to get. Exhilarating!

Yet another thing I love about newborns sessions are the parents. It's so fun to meet people this new, exciting stage where everyone is just rolling with the punches. I personally need more moments in my own life where I'm rolling with the flow of life rather than forging my way through. There are many moments where I'm chatting with mom and dad about life, work, new baby, schedule, family.... you name it. It's so refreshing to meet people who love life and live with passion. I think it would be safe to say little Tristan is in for a exciting ride with parents who love to laugh and treasure him like gold. E&B, I'm exited for you!

Welcome Tristan!
