I often talk about inspiration... finding it, keeping it, harnessing it, and expanding it. I commonly browse magazine, blogs, and designers for concepts and ideas to incorporate in to my work (as well has search the Hollywood gossip! schhh don't tell). One thing I've seen for a while that I don't quite understand are the Marc Jacobs print ads. I really don't understand the photography, but the more I look at them as a collection I actually start to enjoy the uniqueness of the campaign.

All that to say, I've been working on Jihae's bridal portraits. I came across this image. It's so different and very, un-me, I just about passed it over during the editing process. However, like the Marc Jacobs ads, the more I study the image the more I started to really enjoy it for it's differences. Maybe that's what Marc Jacobs was after all along.

Those Marc Jacobs ads really remind me of Ellen Von Unwerth's photography. Great shot--the lighting has an almost-natural quality but is just different enough to be more intriguing!

@ryan- Ellen Von Unwerth is super. i really enjoy the movement in her images as well as the awkward feeling she provokes within the viewer. lovely!
